2024 Spring Flag Football League
Most of you are already aware, but we are set to launch our 1st Spring Flag Football season. This season is not just for our flag football players from the fall but anyone that loves the game and wants to play more football. Flag football is a fast paced game that allows all players opportunities as a receiver and defender. I'm also happy to announce that we are launching our 1st ever girls divisions. We plan to have boys and girls divisions for Rookie Flag (6-8), JR Flag (9-11), and a new SR Flag (12-14) for our 7th/8th graders. This will also be a St Joe ONLY league this year and we will only play each other this season.
Registration
Registration starts 2/1 at stjoerocketfootball.com. Register early as limited spots are available. Age will be as of 4/1, this can be negotiated depending on which age division the player plays in the fall. If you want your player to play up a division, let me know and we can discuss the best fit. Registration fees will be $100
Practices/Games
All practices and games will be at Upton properties. Practices will be during the week in the evenings, just like the fall league. Each team will plan to have 1 practice a week starting the week of 4/15, depending on the weather. Games will be on 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 6/1, and a makeup day if needed on 6/8.
Uniforms
Each player will get a custom shirt with the players last name and choice of number.
Equipment
Mouth guards will be a requirement to play and will be given one or they can use their own mouth guard if they would like to. Flag system (belt and 2 flags) will be supplied for each player.
Coaches
We will be in need of coaches across all 6 of our age groups. Some of our fall league coaches will be returning but we'll definitely need more! All coaches will be required to complete a background check and must be USA Football certified to ensure player safety.
Teams
We will distribute talent throughout all of our teams with the information that we have. Each team will start with the coaches players then we'll distribute the remaining players appropriately. Our goal is to give all players the greatest experience possible. The only way to guarantee your player to be on a certain team is to volunteer to coach. Let me know if you have any questions.
